Chocolate Walnut Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 9″ pie crust
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Shape pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges.
  3. Scatter walnuts and chocolate chips on bottom of pie crust.
  4. In stand mixer, beat butter and sugar together, once smooth, add eggs one at a time.
  5. Slowly add flour, then bourbon, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  6. Pour over chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. Place in oven for 40 to 45 minutes, until set. Depending on your oven, you may need to cover edges of pie crust with foil to avoid burning.
