Ingredients:
- Pizza dough
- Olive oil
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzerella
- 1/2 cup red sauce (see recipe in blog)
Directions:
- Brush 10 inch cast iron skillet with olive oil
- On floured surface, take dough ball and shape into pizza with hands
- Transfer dough to prepared pan and press into corners, forcing 1/4-inch lip of dough up sides of pan.
- Let dough rest in pan at room temperature for an hour
- When ready to bake, brush dough with olive oil and poke dough several times with fork. This prevents dough from bubbling while it bakes
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees
- Cook dough for 7 minutes
- Remove pan and add toppings, make sure to spread sauce and cheese to edge
- For laced edges and well done pizza, cook pizza for 11 minutes on middle rack and move to bottom rack and cook for another 6 minutes
