Bar Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough
  • Olive oil
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzerella
  • 1/2 cup red sauce (see recipe in blog)

Directions:

  1. Brush 10 inch cast iron skillet with olive oil
  2. On floured surface, take dough ball and shape into pizza with hands
  3. Transfer dough to prepared pan and press into corners, forcing 1/4-inch lip of dough up sides of pan. 
  4. Let dough rest in pan at room temperature for an hour
  5. When ready to bake, brush dough with olive oil and poke dough several times with fork. This prevents dough from bubbling while it bakes
  6. Preheat oven to 500 degrees
  7. Cook dough for 7 minutes
  8. Remove pan and add toppings, make sure to spread sauce and cheese to edge
  9. For laced edges and well done pizza, cook pizza for 11 minutes on middle rack and move to bottom rack and cook for another 6 minutes
